Introduced to Indonesia in 1985 straight from the Coffee Rust Research Center, CIFC, in Portugal. It was one of many resistant lines distributed worldwide so that national programmes could select and release their own rust-resistant varieties - this one became the Kartika series at ICCRI. Nuts and cocoa with a light citrus and spice streak, soft acidity and a full, settled body.

Flavor Profile

Nuts and cocoa with a light citrus and spice streak, soft acidity and a full, settled body.

Brewing Tip

Pour-over at 92-93 °C, 1:14-1:15, medium grind with a slightly longer drawdown, to build body and a cocoa finish.
